Functionality
Serious
modelers who scratch build large models such as this 8
foot span, turbine powered F-86 not only demand exact
scale wheels, but brakes that work in all conditions,
without constant maintenance.
The
constant tear down and "greasing" of other
brake systems isn't needed on the Glennis Brake
System. |

 |
| Endless
Options
If
you build models like this Ziroli C-47, there simply
are no scale wheels or brake systems except for the
Glennis setup.
Before
the C-47 can drop its paratroopers in competition, the
engines start with on board starters operated from the
transmitter, and the Glennis Brake System holds it as
it happens.

 |
| Scale
Fidelity
In
many large applications, such as this Ziroli P-38, not
only are the scale P-38 backing plates covering the
actual brake, but the model functions as full
scale.
Application
of the brakes in taxi gives a "bow" at the
nose just as on the full size bird. Engine
run ups at the end of the runway are no problem now. |

Strut Fit Brake
Glennis Designers prefer that
the brake fit the strut when ever possible. This design prevents
rotation, and makes the thinnest installation on narrow applications.
You may have to provide strut measurements if your gear is not of
standard designs.
Set Screw
Brake
For
some brands of landing gear, or where a fit around the
strut is not possible, the brake 'set screws' to the
axle. This makes an acceptable option to the strut fit
style brake.
